Offers quality articles for reprint and exclusive article submission for authors. On BB Articles you will find an ever growing quantity of excellent articles that you may link to or use as content for your ezines, websites or blogs – providing that you retain the author links and source and don’t alter the articles.  Writers are required to send a sample of their work via the contact form before being accepted as authors on BB Articles you can read more about that if you scroll down.

This site was first launched on July 4th 2007 as an article directory using the Article Dashboard script. It ran in that format for 2 years and amassed over 50,000 articles from over 2,000 authors during that time, but despite a huge growth in traffic  as a business it didn’t work very well. Why didn’t it work? It’s hard to say, but now using this format is working out well for BB Articles and the authors.

Previously there was an awful lot of time spent checking articles, the majority declined for reasons such as plagiarism, poor grammar, and spinned until nobody could understand them. Earnings were very low, never enough to pay for the time it took to administer and promote the site.

I’ve been called brave for making the change – I wasn’t really. After 2 years the domain was up for renewal and I’d had enough, but at the last minute I renewed the domain and decided to place an automated blog on it and take advantage of the traffic and PR that I had built up.

I didn’t like the automated blog but what I did like was the theme that I had chosen and the massive amount of plug ins available as opposed to the original article directory script. That and the fact that this new blog is getting subscribers which include some of the original article directory authors made me wonder if I could run some sort of article directory on this domain without the hassle of the previous directory.

Where I am at now is yes authors may register as users, but before you become authors on this blog you must send a copy of your first article or link to where it is already published using the contact form. If accepted I will upgrade your status to author – usually within 24 hours and thereafter you will be able to submit articles and reviews.

BB Articles is not open to everybody who wants to submit articles. Authors should add quality to the site and nothing less. Articles should be informative and well written. Reviews should be from personal experience not sales spiel copied from a brochure. If you can adhere to the guidelines that then you are welcome to join BB Articles as an author.

I will be limiting the categories to the ones that caused the least problems on the old article directory.  Quality should be good and I have a few interesting ideas about how to develop this site better for myself and authors in the future. Already just a few weeks on I’m seeing a massive increase in page views and that is very promising for authors and myself.
