Submission Policy

BB Articles is an exclusive article directory for quality articles and reviews. There are currently 100 free author places available on BB Articles. After those places have all been taken we shall be charging a monthly fee for new authors.

Should you wish to become an author for BB Articles all you have to do is register as a subscriber and then send a copy of the first article that you wish to submit or a link to where it is posted on another website using the contact form. If your application is accepted your account will be upgraded to an authors account. Thereafter you will be able to submit articles and they will go online immediately. We will however continue to monitor articles.

Please use an email address to sign up with that you check regularly. You will never get spammed from BB Articles and under normal circumstances you will only ever recieve 2 emails – an activation email and an author acceptance email with some extra information for you. If you ever get another email from BB Articles it will be because of a problem with one of your articles, or as happens sometimes a forgotten author bio, links not activated, or a dead link. It is in your interest to read those emails because if you are submitting the same article to many directories you could be making the same mistake with all of them and ruining your article marketing campaign.

As BB Articles is now powered by WordPress all articles automatically get pinged to several sites and tweeted to our accounts on Twitter, Technorati and Feedag gaining you an immediate possibility of views. Because of those functions all authors are asked to respect BB Articles and not submit anything to this site that is not acceptable and risk losing our social bookmarking accounts. Following are our guidelines:

The rules for submitting your articles are simple, but they must be followed!

• The articles that you submit must be your own work – You may not submit articles written by other authors and the content must be original to you. No PLR or rebranded articles allowed, you must be the sole copyright holder for each article you submit. Articles written by a ghost writer are perfectly acceptable as long as they are being used only by yourself. Any plagiarism results in a ban.

•  Do not use keyword spam. 1% in an article is enough. All you will achieve by the excessive use of keywords is an inferior article that is more difficult to read, less likely to be syndicated and the search engines considering your article to be spam. Writing naturally is better for you and your business in the long term.

• No advertorials. Your articles should be information or genuine reviews not an attempt at getting free advertising. It’s usually quite easy to tell when somebody has lifted information from a sales page or brochure and never actually seen or used a product.

• Location Specific. Articles should not be location specific unless they are actually about that location. For instance ‘Legal Assistance in Alabama’ or ‘Gutter Repairs in London’ in the title or article body is no go. Apart from this type of article being advertisements the chances of this type of article being linked to or republished are much less than if the articles were information about the subject in general.

• You may add up to 3 DIFFERENT links at the end of your article in your author bio, within the article body or a mixture of both, but after the first third of a page. Adding the same link several times to a page is like spamming the search engines and a waste of potential links to your site. If you add links to different pages on your site you increase the chances of getting more pages ranked.  Bear in mind that your author profile will appear at the bottom of every article with one of your links.

• By submitting your articles to our directory, you grant us the right to publish your articles – We may publish your article anywhere on our website, blog, or syndicate through RSS to other sites. We may also change where it appears, including the category, at any time.

 

• By submitting your articles to this directory, you grant others the right to publish your articles – Other directory users have the right to publish your articles on their websites, in their newsletters or ezines, and more as long as the article is left in the original state. This includes the resource box which provides you credit as the author of the content.

 

• No affiliate links! – The articles that you submit to this directory should not contain direct affiliate links. It is acceptable, however, to mention the URL’s of helpful sites or your own website which redirects to the recommended affiliate product. No links to adult, hate, gambling, online pharmacies, tobacco products or weapon selling sites allowed. We also do not want links to sites claiming misleading high earnings and especially gifting or pyramid programmes.

 

• Submitting your articles to this directory does not entitle you to financial compensation of any kind – You will not receive compensation from us or the users of our directory for articles you submit. This shall include any and all related companies, successors, heirs, employees and officers of this directory, as well.

 

• Submitting an article in no way guarantees inclusion in our directory – We reserve the right to reject an article submission for any reason. Quality should be mutually important to us and the minimum word count should be 400.  Articles should be submitted to the correct category and no more than 1 category. If you wish to submit an article that hasn’t got an appropriate category please contact us. Articles should not be offensive and no accusations should be made against others.

• Articles must be spell checked and proof read for grammatical errors prior to submitting – Do not submit articles filled with spelling errors and bad grammar. We do monitor article submissions and we will reject content that does not meet this requirement. The same goes for mis-formatted articles or those which have HTML code strung about them for no purpose except to aggravate the reader.

 

• Submission of articles to this directory constitute a full understanding and acceptance of our current policies & guidelines by the author, whether or not that author uses manual submission methods or automated submission methods.
